Treating Injured Wildlife in Montgomery & Beyond

It is important to know that in New York State, it is illegal for any person who is not a licensed wildlife rehabilitator or a permitted program to keep wildlife of any kind. Any veterinarian can treat injured wildlife, but only licensed wildlife rehabilitators are allowed to house and rehabilitate them.

Remember the phrase: “If you care, leave them there.” You may also want to familiarize yourself with what to do if you find orphaned or injured wildlife.

If you have found a sick or injured wild animal, feel free to call us at (845) 205-7059 or visit the New York State Wildlife Rehabilitation Council’s website to find a rehabilitator near you.
