Educational Background:

- I recently received certification as a veterinary assistant through Cedar Valley College
- A.A.S. degree in Visual Communications
Number of Family Animal Companions:
3
Name(s) and Breed(s):
“Luna” - young DSH, “Petry” - pied cockatiel, “Nikki” - white-faced cockatiel
Hobbies I enjoy:
I really enjoy reading, drawing and painting wild & domestic animal portraits, skiing, horseback riding, hiking with my husband in PA, and modeling occasionally. I also design business cards and brochures.
Special things I have done with animals:
- I once handfed 6 newborn kittens shortly after their mother passed away.
- I once rescued a young male deer that was hit by a car and laying in the middle of route 207. As I drove by he lifted his head and I turned around to get him. With the help of two men from the electric company we put him into my car and I drove him to Otterkill. After spending a few days with us we successfully relocated him to a rehabilitation center to help with his broken pelvis. I’ve never looked at deer the same way again!
"I love to be a part of the Otterkill Animal Hospital healthcare team because":
Everyone here has a true passion and dedication for animals and everyone works as a team to make sure they receive the best possible care. We have monthly staff meetings that cover all topics and we are constantly improving our level of care. Each animal is treated with love and undivided attention. I could not have asked for a better place to come to work everyday.
